Our Kindergarten students have worked so hard on these gorgeous mixed media landscapes inspired by American folk artist, Grandma Moses! The students learned about tints and shades in the creation of the moody background. During the second step, the students explored colouring mixing by painting squares of scrap paper with a variety of leftover paints. The painted paper was later used to collage buildings and trees. The last step was to add extra details in oil pastel. I'm so impressed with the final artworks and can't wait to post all of them in the photo gallery.
